Have you checked the voltage along the VNet cable. This sounds like it is an electrical troubleshooting situation and you will need to trace all the wires.

If you have 12/5v at the USM then you should be able to check that the sensor and its return signal are working. If the signal is coming through to the USM from the sensor then it sounds like the cable from the USM to the dash.

Have you installed a terminator cap in the correct place?

Thx for the reply

The terminator cap is on and its in the same place its been all along while it was working
The voltage is at the USM and its also got the sensor value there too.

I have since replaced the USM and reprogrammed it
its working fine atm but i cant get the Linear potentiometer to work properly yet

im still using the original cable from the USM to the dash, so that is working fine
I know that the USM is faulty.
What i dont know is what caused a relatively new USM to become faulty and will it do the same to the new one i bought

I appreciate the help that the members are giving. i really do
but
a little help from Racepak (Todd) would be an advantage too

Mark
