Hi guys,
I have a Racepak IQ3 dash which I have mounted in the center area of my dash, I only use the screen to display the following
information via V-Net sensors

Oil Pressure
Fuel Pressure
Manifold Pressure

On warm days after driving for a while I notice that the blue back light on the screen starts flashing on and off, after this happens
for a while all the warning lights at the top of the dash flash and sometimes the screen turns itself off.
If I park the car undercover and allow the screen to cool down it starts working fine again.
Has anyone else experienced this with their IQ3 dash ??

Not sure if I should buy a new dash incase this one is faulty, but it only seems to play up on warm days.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Is it a logging dash? If so then you can use the Datalink software to look at the operating temperature of the IQ3.

If it is not a logging dash then you can configure the dash to display the operating temperature.

Are there any heat sources near the dash, like the HVAC? Was there any heat going to the windscreen when it overheated?

Have you checked the ground for the dash?

Hi no my dash is not a logging dash, I have checked the ground that is all good.
When it plays up there is a bit of heat coming through the windscreen onto the back of the dash, but I'm surprised
that it effects the dash on a 25-30 degree C day.
I will try and configure the dash to show the temp so I can take note at what temp it plays up.
Thanks I didn't know that the dash could display the temp.
